Set in the stunning back drop of Scunthorpe Steelworks, Ashby Ville Nature Reserve is a fantastic 27 acre Fishery holding Specimen Carp to near 40lbs, with confirmed 2 upper 30's, Lemon @ 39lb and Secret Mirror @ 37lb+, 5 mid 30's and several back up 30's, along with an impressive list of 20's. So far to date we have had 4 stockings of Carp totalling nearly 100 fish from some of the country's finest suppliers including AJS Fisheries (Fisher Pond strain), VS Fisheries (Harrow strain), ensuring AVFS certainly has a very bright future for years to come. Certainly not a 'runs' type water, it's very much a challenging water with some stunning fish to go at, depths to 24ft, numerous bars, gullies and features to fish to, very much an old school feel to the water.
